Usha Mandir
The ancient name of Bayana (Sripatha or Sriprastha) was retained up to the fifteenth century as evident from the text of the Atmaprabodhana. Its antiquity goes back to the Gupta period. The Usha or Ukha temple is a quadrangular building entered through a small gateway. The interior consists of a courtyard with sides in the form of rows of pillars forming aisles. The place for worship is in front of the gateway, which is said to have been built during the reign of Raja Lakshman Sen in V.S. 1012 (CE 956) by his wife. It is notified vide Act No. LXXI of 1951 dated 28.11.1951.
